Description

COVID-19 has had a vast impact upon our entire state, which will likely be long-lasting and enduring, far beyond the close of the pandemic. For most, the negative impact is evident, with some impacted more than others. Few would argue the impact upon our healthcare system. However, there have also been positive growth opportunities which have come from this pandemic. In some ways, this pandemic has forced a change in the manner in which we provide healthcare, albeit in a fast and furious manner. This presentation will explore the mental health impact of COVID-19 on our population, including our healthcare providers and the residents of Idaho. The focus will then shift to the positive opportunities for growth which have come from this pandemic, in terms of how we provide health care. Finally, the focus will shift to the role behavioral health care providers can serve in terms of continued healing from this pandemic.
