Laura grew up in Colombia and Mexico and came to the United States for college where she earned a Bachelor of Art in Art and Spanish from Taylor University and a Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees in Counseling and Counselor Education from Indiana University. Laura’s 15 years of clinical experience has focused on addiction recovery, dual diagnosis treatment, group processes and treatment for eating disorders, depression and anxiety. Laura is the program director of the Center for Change Boise, an eating disorder treatment program offering care levels from outpatient to partial hospitalization for the Boise community. Laura is also a registered clinical supervisor and is passionate about quality supervision and her team’s ongoing clinical growth and development.

Laura’s relaxation time involves movies, finding the humor and joy in parenting teens and adventurous cooking and eating.
