Description

While perceptions of ECT are often fear-provoking and inaccurate, this is a treatment that has significant success rates even in patients who have failed to respond to all other treatments. As a community of providers, we can inform our patients of the full range of treatment options, empower them to pursue a full color, thriving life and to counter the discouragement that often comes after multiple failed treatments.

To best serve our patients, awareness of the range of treatment options is needed. Understanding even the basics of when ECT could be useful could be helpful from anyone involved in direct patient care.
